Spend a relaxing day with friendly folks. Stroll the village and visit the crafts people while they are dipping candles and making lye soap. Watch as the miller grinds corn at Boone's Mill and sifts out cornmeal and grits. Relax in the bakery with a fresh baked sugar cookie and a sarsaparilla or visit the candy cabin for a fresh piece of fudge.

Young and old alike can mine for gems and fools' gold at the gem mining sluice. You can also visit the Rock Shop and see hundreds of different minerals and fossils from all over the world. New rock specimens are arriving every week; Dalmatian rock, tekite, rhodonite and many more! If you like rocks, take a hike on the nature trail and see limestone at its best.

The main attraction at the park is still the Cavern Tour. The underground world that Daniel and Squire Boone discovered was open to the public in 1973. Each year, the cave hosts upwards of 40,000 visitors who share the excitement of the Boone Brothers. As you wander by the underground streams, plunging waterfalls, stalacites and columns...it makes you wonder what the Boone Brothers thought as they entered total darkness of the caverns. It has taken millions of years to form these wonderful formations, which are not illuminated by indirect electric lighting. Bring a light jacket and sneakers since it is a walking tour and the cave is 54 degrees.
